The colour of your shade sail
It is important to consider the colour of your shade sail. A darker colour is likely to absorb more of the sun’s rays, but on that token, it is not in direct contact with your person so how much difference would this make?
A darker colour is likely to block out more light and therefore create more shade. When placing a shade sail over a pool the less light getting through the shade sail, the less glare you experience and the more protected you are from the sun’s rays.
The position of your shade sail
Before installing a shade sail you need to consider the sun’s path. The area that might be covered in the morning might be completely exposed by early afternoon. Be strategic and spend some time assessing your needs.
