Make your own spice rubs using fresh dry herbs and spices. The beauty of these, is that they’re easy to make and can be made well in advance. Just rub one of these mixes over your favourite fish, meat or even vegetables to transform a plain meal into a taste sensation.

Mexican Style

  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 2 tablespoon (or to taste) chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (optional)

Greek Style 

  • 4 teaspoons onion powder
  • 4 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons oregano
  • 4 teaspoons basil
  • 2 teaspoons dill
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pepper

Lemon Herb

  • 2 tablespoons lemon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons basil
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 1 teaspoon thyme leaves
